Ride For Joy's Dreamweaver Website Gets Local Kids Back in the Saddle
Ride for Joy is a young therapeutic horseback riding program from Boise, Idaho serving children with disabilities. Riding a horse helps these children gain core strength, improve balance, develop language skills, and build self-confidence. Incorporated only since 2007, the organization is still working to gain local name recognition, and its website is its most important tool for educating the community.
One of Ride For Joy's greatest difficulties is making itself available to the public, because it doesn't have a permanent, dedicated office space. The organization is entirely reliant on its website for community interaction. And for a long time, it did not offer the engaging online experience that was necessary to allow the organization to expand and thrive.
With a newly designed website, which was made possible by donated Adobe tools, the organization reported a tremendous uptick in site traffic; average page requests have generally doubled every week since the relaunch. Volunteer and student inquiries have increased as well.
But most importantly, the site now more accurately reflects the quality and the feeling of Ride for Joy's community services. Adobe Dreamweaver software creatively and dramatically improved the website for the program. It gave the organization and its website a warm outdoorsy feeling that aptly reflects who it is and what it does.
