Brain Fitness Association
Creativity and Cultural Activities in a Safe Online Environment
Brain Fitness is an association that promotes creativity through cultural and educative projects. Some of their most important projects include a short fiction magazine, Revista de Povestiri, and a photo magazine, Love Issue.
One of their most outstanding projects was The Reading Marathon, where 30 youngsters read and reviewed 300 belletristic books. It was a competition that took place in a subway station full of people who were reading. They also organize creative writing workshops, calligraphy classes, interpersonal communication seminars, and workshops for children.
To publish two magazines and run informal workshops for creative people, they rely on technology, social media, and the newest software available with the help of TechSoup.
"Technology is perfect when you do not feel it. … We use Bitdefender antivirus in all our projects and activities because all of them start with online communication," says Simina Diaconu, the president of the organization.
"All the costs are important for an NGO; on the other hand, you can't give up the basic products. As a result, any solution that helps an NGO in their activities is welcome. Passion and skills without operational capacity means frustration," concludes Diaconu.
